PowerQuote is a missed-call response and customer messaging platform for electrical and trade contractors. It is operated by YOUR BRAND NAME HERE ("we," "us"). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have, including for text messages sent through PowerQuote.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All categories of information described in this policy exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help at any time.
Information we collect
- Contractor account information: name, company name, email, phone number, and login details for businesses that use PowerQuote.
- Customer information: when you call or text a contractor that uses PowerQuote, or submit a quote request, we collect your phone number and any details you provide, such as your name, email, service address, and a description of the work needed.
- Messages and call details: the content of text messages exchanged with a contractor, and details of missed calls such as the calling number and time.
- Job records: quotes, invoices, appointments, and feedback created in PowerQuote.
- Technical information: basic logs, browser and device information, and IP address used to operate and secure the service.
How we use information
- To respond to missed calls and service requests on a contractor's behalf.
- To send quotes, scheduling messages, appointment reminders, job updates, and emergency service follow-ups.
- To identify urgent requests so contractors can prioritize them.
- To operate, maintain, secure, and improve PowerQuote.
- To comply with legal obligations and carrier messaging requirements.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use customer phone numbers for marketing.
Text messaging (SMS)
You may receive text messages from a contractor through PowerQuote when you call the contractor's business number and the call is missed, when you text the contractor's number, or when you check the SMS consent box on a contractor's quote or contact form. After a missed call, you receive one automated text. Further messages are sent only if you reply or otherwise consent.
- Messages relate to your service request: replies, quotes, scheduling, reminders, job status, and emergency triage.
- Message frequency varies based on your request.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP to stop receiving messages. Reply HELP for help.
- Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchase.
How information is shared
We share information only as needed to provide the service:
- With the contractor you contacted, so they can respond to and complete your request.
- With service providers who host and operate PowerQuote on our behalf, including Twilio (message and call delivery), Supabase (database and authentication), and Vercel (hosting). They may use the information only to provide those services to us.
- When required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users and the service.
Mobile numbers and SMS opt-in data are never shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.
Data retention
We keep information for as long as a contractor's account is active or as needed to provide the service, meet legal requirements, and resolve disputes. Opt-out records are kept so we can continue honoring your request.
Security
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, and account-level separation so each contractor can only see its own data. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
Your choices and rights
You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP. You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing YOUR EMAIL HERE. California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Children
PowerQuote is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
